The site that has the best SEO, measured by results, is YouTube, followed by massive topical aggregators like Wikipedia and Reddit. On Ahrefs' October 2026 estimates they take about 3.5 billion, 2.6 billion and 1.6 billion organic visits a month. Those positions move, and no neutral ranking exists for SEO companies or people.

The Google PageRank algorithm is the old idea behind why huge sites keep winning, and David G Quaid walks through what it means for smaller ones in this video.
The sites that get the most search traffic are a short and familiar list. These are Ahrefs' estimates for October 2026, and they work better as size bands than as exact counts, because the monthly figures can swing by more than a billion.
| Rank | Site | Organic visits |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | youtube.com | 3.5 billion |
| 2 | wikipedia.org | 2.6 billion |
| 3 | google.com | 2.4 billion |
| 4 | facebook.com | 2.2 billion |
| 5 | instagram.com | 1.8 billion |
| 6 | reddit.com | 1.6 billion |
| 14 | amazon.com | 315 million |
Traffic size can flatter a famous brand, so a second test helps. Semrush's top websites table for September 2026 lists search as the main traffic source for Reddit and Wikipedia, and direct visits as the main source for Amazon. People type Amazon in. They find Reddit and Wikipedia through a search box, which makes those two the cleaner examples of SEO doing the work.
To measure who has the best SEO, skip the opinions and use outcomes, since Google publishes no such score. Three tests work:
What the sites with the best SEO have in common is scale on one side and real demand on the other. Each one covers a huge number of subjects, so it has a page for almost any question, and people link to it and click it without being asked. David G Quaid puts Reddit, YouTube, CNN, Microsoft, Apple and Amazon at the top of a traffic pyramid, and uses it to explain how Googlebot decides what to crawl: pages with no clicks wait in a far slower queue, so the rich get richer. He also says eBay, Amazon, X and Reddit could fall under the programmatic SEO banner, with pages driven by databases or by people posting. Wikipedia is the odd one out, written by human editors, and it does just as well.
Who ranks for the questions on this site is a small test anyone can repeat. SEO TV pulled the US Google results through Cloro on November 1, 2026 for the 14 questions answered here plus two broader searches. Reddit appeared on 13 of the 16 pages, YouTube on 6, Spotify on 5 and Apple Podcasts on 4. Wikipedia, Amazon and G2 appeared on none. That is a narrow sample about podcasts and SEO, and it shows why best depends on the subject.
Reddit's SEO is not a sure thing, and its last three years show how quickly winners change. Sistrix data reported by Amsive has Reddit up 1,328% in Google visibility from July 2023 to April 2024, climbing from 68th to 5th among US domains. A licensing deal with Google, reported at about $60 million a year, came in the middle of that rise, and Google says it didn't include ranking Reddit higher.
Then the wind turned. Reddit told shareholders on October 29, 2026: "Our search referral traffic was down meaningfully in Q3", with US logged-out users down 4%. The letter doesn't say why. Wikipedia is slipping too, with human pageviews down about 8% and AI summaries partly to blame, by Wikimedia's account. David G Quaid's point is that this matters beyond Google: "the reason that ChatGPT cited Reddit is because it's so popular in Google".
G2 and the big publishers have both had a rough run, so neither makes the list today. Semrush estimates G2 at about 1.23 million organic visits a month, and reports point to steep falls in its SEO traffic since 2023. News publishers once looked unbeatable: in 2024, Detailed counted 16 media companies owning at least 588 brands, with about 3.5 billion estimated Google clicks a month. Chartbeat data now shows Google traffic to news sites down 33% worldwide in a year. A famous name guarantees nothing, either: The Edward Show estimated that Nike's blog gets about 1,400 organic clicks a month.
The best SEO company can't be named honestly, because no neutral ranking exists. Top results for this search include agencies calling themselves number one and lists that put their own publisher first. Google's advice is to be wary of big promises: "No one can guarantee a #1 ranking on Google." Ask to see results for a site like yours, and judge them with the three tests above.
The best SEO in the world is a title nobody can award, since no measure exists, and this page won't pretend otherwise. What you can do is watch people work and judge for yourself. That is what the SEO video channels on this site are for, and they disagree with each other often enough to keep it interesting.
Which platform is best for SEO has no official answer, as no Google document ranks website platforms or software. Its Starter Guide says only that some content management systems may handle sitemaps for you. For software, start with the free reports on the SEO tools shelf.
